On December 29th, the "Building a Strong Country Road - Achievements of Made in China during the 14th Five Year Plan" exhibition was grandly opened at the National Museum, which carries history and civilization. This exhibition is jointly organized by the News and Publicity Center of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the National Museum of China, aiming to comprehensively showcase the brilliant achievements of China's manufacturing industry in core technologies, industrial foundations, and innovative ecosystems, and to deeply interpret the excellent character of great country craftsmen who are determined to forge ahead and pursue excellence.

After rapid development during the 14th Five Year Plan period, China's manufacturing industry has jumped to the top in the world, establishing a complete and independent manufacturing system, becoming an important cornerstone for supporting China's economic and social development and an important force for promoting world economic development. Behind the steady growth in scale, innovation driven is accelerating the transition from "Made in China" to "Created in China". As a vivid practice of this process, Gree Electric Appliances made a concentrated appearance in the three core exhibition areas of "Industrial Foundation", "Intelligent Manufacturing" and "Better Life" set up at the exhibition, fully demonstrating the company's hard core strength and responsibility in independent innovation and industrial leadership.

Intelligent manufacturing hard core output, building a solid foundation for industrial upgrading

As a diversified and technology-based global industrial manufacturing group, Gree Industries covers two major fields: household consumer goods and industrial equipment, with products exported to more than 190 countries and regions. In the intelligent manufacturing section of the exhibition, the front of the exhibition area was crowded with people, and visitors came in an endless stream, which intuitively demonstrated the high attention of the public to the cutting-edge achievements of China's manufacturing industry.

In December 2025, Gree was successfully selected as one of the first batch of the highest level "leading level" intelligent factory cultivation list in China through the "Gree Collaborative House Air Conditioning Intelligent Factory" project across the entire value chain, and is also the only enterprise in Guangdong Province to be selected for this list. At the exhibition site, the project vividly presented the collaborative operation of five intelligent workshops, namely sheet metal, controller, injection molding, two equipment, and final assembly, through a sand table. Improve production efficiency by 200% and achieve 100% digital coverage, becoming a benchmark model for digital transformation in the global home appliance manufacturing industry.

Equally noteworthy is the 1:3.6 scale miniature model of the Gree high-speed double five axis gantry machining center, which won the gold medal at the 2025 Geneva International Invention Exhibition. This CNC machine tool adopts a direct drive scheme, with a grating ruler fully closed-loop control, a maximum operating speed of 120m/min, a maximum acceleration of 1.1mm/s2, and 11 axis linkage machining. With one clamping, it can complete the six sided machining of car body components such as the front cabin, battery tray, and rear floor. The production efficiency is increased by more than 30% compared to traditional methods, promoting the landing and application of domestic high-end five axis machine tools in key fields.

In addition, Gree Precision Coating Workstation has also attracted a lot of attention. This device integrates high-precision industrial robots and intelligent vision systems, which can achieve precise 3D trajectory coating of large and complex workpieces such as battery trays. The positioning accuracy reaches ± 0.6mm, and the coating consistency exceeds 99%. It has been widely used in fields such as new energy vehicles and home appliances, and its exquisite craftsmanship has impressed the on-site audience.

Empower manufacturing with high-end upgrades through a strong core foundation

Gree Electric's newly built fully automated third-generation semiconductor chip factory during the 14th Five Year Plan period has achieved independent and controllable control of the entire industry chain from chip process research and development, wafer manufacturing to packaging and testing. The application scenarios involve fields such as air conditioning, new energy vehicles, photovoltaics, energy storage, charging piles, etc.

The 650V 60mohm SiC MOSFET wafer showcased at the Made in China "14th Five Year Plan" Achievement Exhibition features high switching speed, high voltage resistance, and high temperature resistance thanks to its silicon carbide material. After being applied to air conditioning products, it can reduce the operating temperature of the whole machine by 10 degrees Celsius and improve efficiency by more than 0.5%, providing a key semiconductor solution for the development of high-efficiency household appliances.

At present, Gree Electronic Components Company has completed the AEC-Q101 certification for SiC diodes and MOSFET platform products, as well as the construction of the technical process platform; And has passed the certification of ISO9001, ANSI/ESDS20.20-2021, and IATF16949, possessing the ability to produce high reliability automotive grade chips; SiC chips have been loaded into Gree air conditioning products, with an installed capacity of over 2 million units.

Zero carbon smart home innovation, leading the low-carbon living experience

Gree has been researching integrated air conditioning technology for power generation and consumption since 2010. After more than 10 years of development, it has now formed a pattern of "photovoltaic power supply, energy storage, and DC power consumption in one", providing a practical and feasible new path for building a zero carbon society. This system has 100% independent intellectual property rights, and its patent layout has covered 28 countries and regions around the world, demonstrating Gree's global vision and technological strength in the field of clean energy.

As the only enterprise showcasing whole house intelligent solutions in the "Better Life" section of this achievement exhibition, Gree's "Zero Carbon Intelligent Health Home" model has attracted a large number of visitors to stop and learn. With the core of the "light storage direct flexible" system, it has built a future living system that integrates "energy self consistency, smart living, and health security", realizing the closed-loop operation of "spontaneous self storage self use self adjustment" of household energy, fundamentally answering the energy proposition of "where electricity comes from, how to store it, and how to use it efficiently and safely".

According to the product manager, Gree's "Zero Carbon Smart Health Home" is built around five smart systems: energy, air, health, security, and lighting, to create an integrated and comprehensive smart home management solution.
