Warranty Information
1. Warranty policy
1.1 6-year warranty for products
(1) All home multi split series (models including H) using CAN communication protocol: GMV Star, GMV Tops, Shurui, Boyun, Yaju, Zhirui, and subsequent home multi split new products using CAN communication protocol and indoor units (models including H) matched with the above home multi split series.
(2) Free series, Free X series household DC variable frequency multi split air conditioning units and their internal units.
(3) Duct air conditioning units with cooling capacity below 14KW (including 14KW).
(4) Room style hot air unit.
(5) Follow the centralized controller and good e-control used with the above products when they leave the factory.
(6) GN Phoenix series household heating and cooling all-in-one machines sold after January 1, 2024.
1.2 3-year warranty for products
(1) Gas heating water heater.
(2) Bus air conditioning unit.
(3) A series of air source water heaters with a heating capacity of 8KW or more.
(4) Home decoration retail products starting with GWV, including Tianshui and Dishui dual supply systems.
(5) Independently sold large-scale water compressor products.
1.3 2-year warranty for products
(1) Large chillers (centrifuges, screw machines) manufactured after December 1, 2023.
(2) Commercial multi split machines manufactured after December 1, 2023.
(3) Starting from September 1, 2023 (based on the date of contract signing), top mounted parking air conditioners with models starting with ZC will be sold
1.4 18 month warranty for products
Except for the commercial products mentioned in 1.1, 1.2, and 1.3 above.
2.Definition of 2-Package Repair
2.1 The warranty period for large chiller units shall be calculated from the date of completion of unit commissioning (based on the actual commissioning date verified by the barcode of the unit under repair), and the corresponding warranty policy for the entire unit shall be implemented; Alternatively, the warranty policy for the entire machine can be extended by 12 months from the date of shipment, whichever comes first.
2.2 The warranty period for other models with a startup password shall be calculated from the date of completion of unit commissioning (based on the actual commissioning date verified by the barcode of the unit under repair), and the corresponding warranty policy for the entire machine shall be implemented.
2.3 The warranty period for models without a startup password shall be calculated from the date of completion of unit debugging (based on the actual debugging date verified by the barcode of the unit being repaired), and the corresponding warranty policy for the entire machine shall be implemented; Alternatively, starting from the date of shipment of the unit, the corresponding warranty policy for the entire machine will be extended by 3 months, whichever expires first.
2.4 The warranty period for the refrigeration unit shall be calculated from the date of completion of the self commissioning of the unit with installation records in the cloud after-sales system (based on the actual commissioning date verified by the barcode of the repair unit), and the corresponding warranty policy for the whole machine shall be implemented; Starting from the date of shipment of the self unit without installation records in the cloud after-sales system, the corresponding warranty policy for the entire machine will be extended by 3 months.
Any of the following situations is not within the scope of warranty repair, and after-sales service providers may provide fee based services according to the charging standards:
(1) Damage caused during the transportation, entry, positioning, and installation of the unit.
(2) After debugging is completed, all relevant materials (manuals, repair cards, etc.) are delivered for use. Damage caused by the user unit not following the random user manual for operation, maintenance, and upkeep.
(3) Any damage caused by installation or maintenance by non authorized service providers of Gree Electric Appliances (including damage caused by consumers installing or moving, disassembling, or assembling Gree units themselves) shall be the sole responsibility of the user.
(4) There is no complete warranty certificate or the warranty certificate has been altered.
(5) Damage caused by uncontrollable natural disasters or harsh usage environments.
(6) Processed products, products that have exceeded the warranty period.
